The Brattleboro Swim Team (BST) is excited to open registration for the 2026 summer season! BST is a community-based team for swimmers ages 5–18, focused on fun, stroke development, teamwork, and confidence in the water. Whether your swimmer is new to summer swim or returning for another season, BST offers a positive, supportive environment where swimmers build skills, friendships, and a love of the sport.

The 2026 season will run from June 22 through July 31, with practices held Monday through Friday from 4:00–6:00 pm at the Memorial Living Park outdoor pool. In general, younger swimmers will practice from 4:00–5:00 pm, while older or more experienced swimmers will practice from 5:00–6:00 pm. Final group placement will be determined by coaches at the start of the season, and full practice details will be shared closer to the season. BST is a swim team, not a learn-to-swim program. For safety, swimmers should be able to swim one length of the pool (25 yards) independently.

The season includes approximately 4–5 swim meets within the Southern Vermont Swim League. Swimmers who qualify will also have the opportunity to compete in the State Championship Meet on the weekend of August 1–2, 2026. Please note that swimmers must participate in at least two meets and achieve a qualifying time in order to represent BST at the State Championship meet. Families are strongly encouraged to schedule vacations and sleepaway camps after August 2 to avoid missing practices and meets.

We are excited about the coaching staff we are lining up for this season (to be announced soon), and we’re also excited to share that we have already confirmed guest coaches for all Friday stroke clinics this summer. These clinics will offer swimmers fresh perspectives and specialized stroke instruction to complement our regular practices.

BST is committed to making swim team participation accessible to as many families as possible. Optional donations to our Sponsor a Swimmer (Scholarship Fund) will be available during registration to help support income-based scholarships and sliding-scale assistance.
