Hello swim team families!

Our first practice is Monday the 22nd. I’ve gotten a lot of questions about practice times so I wanted to explain our thinking for practice times. We will have kids 10 and under begin swimming in the 4-5 slot, and swimmers older than 10 will swim from 5-6. There is room for adjustment if a swimmer is advanced for their age or if they are just beginning. For now though, I am going to ask that families stick to this generalized swim team plan.

We ask that parents and swimmers join us at 4:50 on Monday so I can give some announcements about the season and answer any questions people might have. So if your child is swimming at 4, then just hang out at the pool while they practice for a while then we’ll get out early and have the parent meeting. If your child is swimming in the second practice please arrive ten minutes early so we can fit in the parent meeting.

If for some reason the weather doesn’t work out in our favor on Monday and practice needs to get canceled, we will have the parent meeting on Tuesday at 4:50pm instead.

We will have a mock meet on Thursday, June 26th from 4-6pm. For this, swimmers will be assigned races to swim in at our home pool to practice what a meet feels like. At the mock meet we will need parent volunteers to help time, organize swimmers, and officiate. We will go over this in more depth on Monday.
